Southwest Nationals

The main event went as follows today at the Southwest National in the TCC here in good ol Tucson, AZ (but according to the trophies, its Tuscon). First through third went to sand-baggers from out of town, Juan Lokes 4th (because Chuck took Mike out) see above, Steve 6th?, Mike 7th, (because he was taken out), Chuck 8th, because he crashed in the carnage in attempting to pass mike. All in all, it was pretty expensive but it was some damn good times, Friday night I was taken over the last berm (by Chuck), but we were laughing the whole time, having a damn good time. Saturday, even more out-of-towners showed up (sand-bagging), clipped in and were pretty fast. Mike and myself went out in the first qualifier and in the main Mikey was catching 2nd place into the third turn, but Chuck was catching Mike even faster... and the carnage ensued. Chuck and Mike went down, and I used some pretty wicked awesome flat tracker skills with one foot off to avoid it, Steve followed. Bissel won his main with a X-up over the finish line double (clipped in on a cruiser), which got all of us pretty excited in the stands. Mike's wounds will heal, and we will most likely do it all again next year. Thanks to everyone coming out to witness this monumental event. And thanks to Maggie for the pics.
