X games
Alright, Alright, I watched the video up on Ride and it was pretty awesome. The course looks really good for some straight up street riding, and shit has already gone down in qualifying. Sean Sexton qualified 3rd! Hell yeah! AZ represent. Sean had some serious moves, like a truck down the double set. Say What! But Garret Reynolds took 1st in qualifying with ridiculous bar-spin combos. Ice pick up a rail to bar-spin out. Damn mutha fucker chill, it's just qualifying don't blow your load just yet. For once I might watch the X games, but you know how it goes they won't show shit except for Moto-X and Moto-X. Dicks

L.A. Earthquake

Yesterday I talked to Floyd, he said him and Fish were riding the Etnies park in LA when the 5 point-something earthquake hit. Of course Floyd hates smooth tranny so he was sitting down when the quake hit. Could you imagine boosting a quarter and looking down to see the whole ground moving below you. I'd shit my pants. That reminds me, my wife said if she saw a shark in the water she would shit her pants. I thought to myself "you would shit your pants if saw a shark in the water? Is this while you were in the water, or if you were on a boat or at Seaworld you would shit your pants?" I then thought, "well I'm not gonna take her to the shark exhibit or there might be a little accident." Maybe shitting your pants in the water with a shark near you is a good idea, I heard sharks have an excellent sense of smell and my wife could send those sharks belly up if you know what I mean. That reminds me of another thing, it's fucking shark week on the discovery channel. Sharks are sick.

Polls Closed
The polls just closed and thanks to all 11 of you for voting. It looks like "Funny Shit" was the winner with "Randomness" in a close 2nd followed by "I hate this site but for some reason I keep coming here." I will make sure that funny shit will always be on clickedbmx.com even if I have to hit myself in the nuts every week to make you laugh. Plus BMX stuff even though no one voted for it.
Will Jackson We The People
Here's a good little edit from Will Jackson who lives in England where it rains 300 days out of 365. It's hot here but at least we can go outside.
Trails!
The trails are popping off right now! These aren't them, but they are starting to look a lot like it. Yes there are huge trees, and yes there is a big ass berm. When you first walk into the thick swamp land you are immediately hit with 20% more humidity and feel as if you just warped to some other region of the U.S. possibly the south or the east coast. You can't help but say "this is Tucson?" If you haven't been to the trails you're probably wondering where the hell are they? Here's the catch, you can come ride but you better bring a shovel and you better keep it real hush. Since the loss of our last trails everyone is a little on edge of losing these and are little weary of letting outsiders or random people in on the location. I can't reveal the directions but maybe if you're nice and I know you or you know some people who have access to them they might let you in on the secret. Until then just enjoy some of the photos and stories I will be providing in the upcoming weeks. If all goes well and we feel that the spot is gonna be here to stay I might clue you in on some details on how to get there, but I stress the importance of shoveling and working together to build the best set of trails Tucson has ever seen.Last Sunday I met up with Lynn, Jack, Frankie(dickfoot), Michael, and Michael's little brother. We dug our asses off for awhile, then my friend Chuck(shorts) came out and helped dig as well. We were then blessed with the presence of the Dirty "D" then followed by Mitch, and Coleman who has a sick new chromed out LTF. We got the first six pack done and the berm after it almost done, plus another jump after the berm just before 3pm, which was the time I had to go home and babysit. I did manage to get through the pack before I left though. The first jumps lip is just over 4ft high to a 5-6ft tall landing it's a slight hip to the right which makes for a stylee way to start off a section. When you approach it you can't see the jump until you're about 10 feet from the lip, it's scary and I love it. You then hit a boosty second jump that if you boost it too much you might hit a tree branch, then the third jumps into the big ass berm that is probably still in progress. Anyway, I can't stop thinking about them and I wanna go ride them right now. I might go hit them on Wednesday after work around 6pm. Maybe I'll see you there.

Stare at the spiral. Then go back again and only look at the boobs. Do it, it's not like I'm twisting your fucking arm.
Just A Reminder
Spike Jonze

Here is a little background on your boy Spike. Remember kids "you need to establish roots before you can grow." The "Freestylin" cover was a photo taken by Spike, it's not actually him riding. Spike shot photos for BMX Action and Freestylin back in the 80's. Here's a damn good video he directed too.
I wish he still was involved in BMX like he is in skateboarding. The skate videos he does are insane the amount of time and money put in them are as much as some of the movies you see in the theatres.
Girl Skateboards Yeah Right
Now I know what some of you are thinking. "I thought this was a BMX site". Well, it is douche bag but today is extremely slow in BMX updates and news. If you're anything like me then you'll appreciate some skateboarding. If you're not like me you're probably better off, but this video "Yeah Right" is by far one of the best skateboard videos of all time. Even Luke Wilson has a part in it. The film is by Spike Jonze, he is one of the godfathers of BMX and a huge person in skateboarding. Not to mention he has directed music videos from the likes of: the beastie boys, bjork, the pharcyde, fat boy slim... and many more. The dude is a genius. (I spelled genius RIGHT!) Anyway, if your bored like I am then you should give this video a gander. There is some amazing shit in it that anyone can appreciate.
BMX Skatepark in Tucson

I just received an email from a guy name Rex. Rex has been working on and off to get BMX it's own skatepark in Tucson for almost 10 years now. He has connections and can help get our foot in the door. Here is the email he sent me:
Concrete Enthusiasts:
Please let other riders know about our group,
the Tucson BMXskatepark Coalition.
Our goal is to:
1. resurrect the plans for a BMXskatepark in Freedom Park.
2. get the City Council & Board of Supervisors to adopt
a master plan and secure locations throughout the County
for future BMXskateparks.
3. make sure that ALL new concrete BMXskateparks use
Chrome-Alloy coping (which will negate any damage from pegs).
Our first meeting is this Wednesday, July 30th at 7pm -
Park Place Food Court near the theatre entrance.
Appreciate you letting other riders and Parents
know about our efforts.
ride hard,
rex
If you are passionate about getting a park in Tucson I suggest you attend this meeting. This is true honest people trying to better the BMX community in Tucson. They are not trying to force their way in on other places and they are not trying to make a dollar off of you. The only way it will work is by showing up and working together. I hope to be attending this meeting, but with a new baby at home I can't ever put plans in stone. If you have questions about this meeting email me bikehines@gmail.com and I can set you up with Rex or others that are involved.

Super Park Course
But, you should be able to get the best of two worlds, except I think the best rider should be able to ride either one and win. When did park and street become two events? If they're gonna make more events then why not dirt? I want dirt back, they could make some crazy "big air" course for the dirt guys and people would shit themselves. I mean this is the X-games right? I would also like street luge back, while I'm asking how about topless bungee jumping held on HBO. I mean shit give the people what they want. Come on ESPN boobs sell and boobs that jump off things are even better. America hasn't sold out enough yet we need more debauchery!!!!!
Estelle Getty R.I.P.
Man, I just found out that Estelle Getty( Sophia or Ma from the Golden Girls) died at the age of 84. She's the stunning young lady with the glasses. Although I kid, I really am little hurt she brought great comic relief to the Golden Girls time and time again, and remember when she co-starred with Sylvester Stallone in "Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot"? Who could forget that one. She was also in "Mannequin" but I can't remember what the fuck she did in that one. In fact, I'm still trying to forget I watched that movie all together. One thing that's kind of fucked up Betty White is actually older than her. Anyway, Estelle we hardly knew ye but you will be missed. There goes that idea of the Golden Girls reunion episode in the Bahamas. I'll leave that up to your imagination..
Xgames Street Course (click here for more)
1. Why the fuck is there a subway/BART train on the course? Does that make it more "realistic" to have a subway station. Because we all know all of our favorite riders ride subway trains.
2. Is this a pathetic attempt by ESPN to gain street cred with the kids?
3. Why the hell would we wanna watch the top pros ride curbs when we can just go to "the come up" and watch some 13 year shred the fuck out of the curb in front of his house?
4. Didn't MTV already try this? Remember when Jimmy Levan tried to jump over those semi containers?
5. Wouldn't you rather see some serious shit go down? Rather than some foot jam tailwhips?
6. Now I understand that there will be another event that has huge tranny, and Dave Mirra will be rally car racing but what are your honest opinions of this event?
7. Do you think they should bring dirt back? Would you rather watch dirt then tech curb riding?
Ok let me hear some feedback, one thing to think about is the fact that there isn't even a wall ride....

T.O.B.R.O.D. Video Review

The Innocent Bystander guys did it again. If you haven't seen "Debt's Coming" yet I suggest you order it from their website, which is Innocentbystander.net you can find it there, or if you know someone who has it watch it now. So, for those of us who are familiar with the IB crew from Jersey, you know that these boys are creative and are badasses on the BMX. Rick Whitehead just sent me out a copy of their latest creation called T.O.B.R.O.D. or till our beards reach our dicks. Not too sure what the exact meaning of the title is but I like it none the less. The DVD title states that it is the first of a series, I fucking hope so.
TOBROD starts out with a crazy intro of BMX, some sort of Vietnam war footage, and indigenous people killing an elephant. Disturbing yes, artsy probably, creative check, the IB guys always have amazing footage and different takes on what a bike video should be. Also, some dude with dreads does an Indian giver rollback and they flash a portrait of a native American, genius. TOBROD then goes into a mix section after mix section, as if you just created a great mix CD off your itunes then slapped some great riding for visuals on it. The whole thing goes without names, so if you're not familiar with the riders then your shit out of luck. I like this idea, it's a unity feeling or like being on a team. No one person is more important then the other and you get to concentrate on the riding and filming instead of trying to read everyones name in small print on the side of the screen. Midway through the video Tucson locals known only by "Krimzen" ride nothing but pools. This small but to the point section is a great relief to the almost all street riding the video has. If you love street and you're a spot whore I suggest you get this video and keep your eye's open for the next in the series. Here's a little trailer for the video. Oh and one other thing I would like to add, the only other time I've seen more poles being ridden was in a Mexican strip club. ZING!
T.O.B.R.O.D. Trailer Series 1 from IB! on Vimeo.
In conclusion, buy this and help support your friends and real bike riders being creative to better the lifestyle we call bmx. Thanks Rick for sending me the copy I can't wait till the next one!
Because I can
We cannot post solely BMX videos on here, and besides, most of you have seen them already on "The Come Up" and other sites, and too much of one thing is bad. So with the being said, here is a little ditty you may be familiar with if you have seen the early "Crusty" videos. ER, SMS, and LNS know whats up!
For all you Misfits fans
